  • As they say in Scotland, "There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes."

The weather in Scotland can change quickly and dramatically, so layers are your best bet! On any given day, the weather can go from cold and misty in the morning to warm and sunny in the afternoon and then rainy and cold again in the evenings.

Beyond layers, waterproof shoes or boots, water-resistant pants, and a rain jacket are all must-haves!

  • Most people fly into Glasgow (GLA) or Edinburg (EDI). Both airports offer easy access to the train stations, which offer train travel to Oban.

Everyone traveling in Scotland should download the ScotRail App to their phone. Train travel throughout Scotland is convenient and inexpensive.

  • Yes, absolutely.

Once you have paid your non-refundable deposit to hold a spot on the journey, you are automatically enrolled in our payment plan, which is outlined below. You will receive email reminders before payments are due. Of course, you are welcome to pay in full at any time or set up a monthly payment plan by contacting Lilly.

Deposit = $750, Due to hold your spot

    Payment One = $1600 Due February 15, 2025

    Payment Two = $1600 Due August 1, 2025

  • Cancellation & Refund Policy

We hope you don’t have to cancel—truly. We know how much planning, prayer, and anticipation goes into saying "yes" to a pilgrimage, and we understand that sometimes life lifes in unexpected ways.

That said, here’s our cancellation and refund policy for the Scotland Pilgrimage:

    • Deposits are non-refundable. This allows us to make essential reservations and commitments on your behalf.

    • If you cancel 90 days or more before the start of the pilgrimage, your first payment (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.

    • If you cancel less than 90 days before the pilgrimage, the trip is non-refundable.

    Why this policy?
Our accommodations on Iona require a strict payment schedule and have a firm cancellation policy. Because of this, we are obligated to uphold these deadlines and payment commitments on our end.

    Transferring Your Spot:
If you are unable to attend but find someone to fill your spot, you may receive a refund (excluding the deposit), provided that:

    • The replacement pilgrim is approved by the trip facilitators,

    • They complete registration and pay the full balance, and

    • A $100 administrative fee will be deducted from your refund.

Thank you for understanding—we do our best to be both fair and faithful in our planning and preparation.
